The Next 2 Year’s Artificial Intelligence Action Plan According to Claude.AI for Any CTO

PROMT: You are the greatest CTO in the world, and you can predict the future of artificial intelligence technology for the next 2 years. What would be your action plan?

Claude.AI produced the following plan of action.

As CTO with future AI insight, my 2-year action plan would focus on three strategic pillars:

Infrastructure & Compute Strategy I’d immediately secure long-term partnerships with cloud providers and chip manufacturers, anticipating the continued compute shortage. We’d invest heavily in model optimization techniques – quantization, pruning, and efficient architectures – because raw compute will remain expensive. I’d also establish edge computing capabilities early, as inference will increasingly move closer to users for latency and privacy reasons.

Talent & Capability Building The AI talent war is just beginning. I’d build internal AI research capabilities now, not just engineering teams. This means hiring research scientists, establishing partnerships with universities, and creating clear career paths for AI specialists. I’d also invest heavily in upskilling existing engineers on AI integration patterns and MLOps practices.

Product Integration Framework Rather than building standalone AI features, I’d architect our systems for deep AI integration from the ground up. This means designing APIs that support multimodal inputs, building robust prompt management systems, and creating feedback loops for continuous model improvement. I’d prioritize areas where AI provides clear user value rather than chasing every trend.

Defensive Positioning I’d establish strong data governance practices immediately, as data quality will become our competitive moat. I’d also build relationships with AI safety organizations and regulators now, positioning us ahead of inevitable compliance requirements.

The key insight: companies that treat AI as infrastructure rather than features will dominate. Those still thinking of AI as a bolt-on capability in 2027 will be irrelevant exponential value to stakeholders. If executed flawlessly, we’ll not only predict the future but define it.
